Workflow Solutions for LED Sign Production
Overview of complementary equipment for LED sign production: Mimaki UV printers, CUTWORX USA flatbed cutters, Comagrav CNC routers, and TPS channel letter benders.
Talk to a Workflow SpecialistEquipment Overview
LED modules and power supplies are only part of a finished sign. This section covers the complementary production equipment — UV printing, cutting and routing, and channel letter bending — that turns raw material into the faces, cabinets, and letter shells the LEDs illuminate. Blake Hollier (Signage Solution Specialist, AMCAD Graphics) is the contact for workflow questions.
Print Solutions
Mimaki UV flatbed printers — from compact UJF models for LED sign components to the 4×8 and wide-format JFX600 series (up to 200 m²/h) for sign faces and backlit panels.
Cutting & Routing
CUTWORX USA Apex flatbed cutters (450W to 1.8kW spindles) and Comagrav NOTUS CNC servo routers (up to 2100×6200mm) for cabinet faces, backs, and letter components.
Channel Letter Fabrication
TPS benders — including the 7-axis S9710 and the CUTWORX USA exclusive ProBender — plus the TPS pneumatic stapler for assembling letter shells.
Plan the Lighting
Once the structure is fabricated, spec the LED modules and power supplies with the ROI Calculator using official TMT load limits.
How This Connects to LED Signage
Print the Faces
Mimaki UV flatbeds print sign faces, backlit panels, and decorated components for LED cabinets and lightboxes — the surfaces TMT modules illuminate.
Cut the Structure
Apex cutters and NOTUS routers cut cabinet faces, backs, and channel letter components from acrylic, ACM, and PVC to receive module layouts.
Bend the Letters
TPS benders form the aluminum returns of channel letters — the cans that house Tiny, Mini 2, and Midi modules — and the stapler fastens shells to base plates.
